Am I right or wrong
Do I stop or carry on
Oh Lord are you there are you listening to me
Are you there when I pray
Do you beleive what I say
Are you there by my side, with love
Are you there when they cry with their worry's of the day
when they are lonely and have forgotten how to play
Are you there when I am beaten and I fumble with my words
Or are they just a jumble
Do they understand what they have heard
They treat me as their father
I don't know too much about that
The nearest I get to a family thats, A CAT.
Now can you imagine me, me as a married man
Just look at the state I'm in
I'm rough, rough as a rusty can
Lord do YOU hear me.
Am I right am I wrong
Do I stop now or do I carry on
Oh lord are you there are you listening to my plea
Won't you tell me lord, am I wright or wrong?
And my looks are pretty grim
What woman would have me
No woman I know
that must be plain for you to see
No No I wouldn't bother if I were you
You might hit me with your staff
Or there again my dear Lord.
It might make you laugh
Are you still there my lord? Or have I made weep
No I bet you got bored and just dropped off to sleep
Are my words to them just a reminder of the state of their lives
And how did they survive their days before I arrived
But do I truly help them
when you put their lives in my hands
Am I wasting my words
Just like the sea upon the sand
But do my words really matter
Do they seep down into their souls
Or can I really make a difference as they are growing old
Lord do YOU hear me.
Am I right am I wrong
Do I stop now or do I carry on
Oh lord are you there are you listening to my plea
Won't you tell me lord, am I wright or wrong?
